CHURCHILL STYLE at THE DETROIT ATHLETIC CLUB
Winston Churchill spent one night at The Detroit Athletic Club on February 4, 1932, sleeping there before delivering a lecture in Detroit on February 5 as part of his historic (and protracted) cross-country lecture tour of the United States.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to speak at this venerable and majestic Detroit institution next Friday evening, APRIL 19, under the auspices of The Winston Churchill Society of Michigan, who have invited me to address their semi-annual meeting at a special Churchill Style dinner in the club’s Ponchartrain Room. Hors d’oeuvres and a 4-course feast consisting of Churchill’s favorite foods will be served, accompanied, of course, by Pol Roger champagne.
For full details, I invite you to contact Mr. Richard Marsh, President of Winston Churchill Society of Michigan at: rcmarshA2@aol.com.
